And that was during the Titanic hype, and I remember at school after the monitors did their lunch announcements over the microphone, a few minutes later a girl from one of the older grades took the mic and starting singing My Heart Will Go On. Nobody stopped her. I remember thinking how weird she was. But the sad truth is, if it were 1998 right now, that girl would be me.

So I thought I would share this picture with you since you love Titanic as much as I do. I live in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, and we have a veterans home, Charlotte Hall, and they have this in one of the rooms where you can watch tv and play pool and stuff. That’s an actual copy of the newspaper the day (I think) the news about Titanic broke loose. I can try to get a better picture but it’s wrapped up obviously because it’s so old and fragile. I hope you find this interesting, I also have a painting one of the residents painted of the Titanic, it was sitting behind the ship. :) I really love seeing this whenever I go. It just makes me happy :3

I was 7 years old when Titanic came out. I got it on tape when I was 8 and I was watching it every night before going to sleep. Not the full movie because I was too young to stay up late but yeah. Ahah my dad was SO tired of the movie. I'm now 21 and still obsessed with the movie. And as a fan, I can tell you your blog is pretty amazing. :)

I’m always interested in hearing stories from people who were part of the hype back then? So if any of you were apart of it, please share your stories here, I really would love to hear them!

I started crying the first time I watched the Titanic when they handcuffed Jack to that pole cause I thought he was going to die there. Then I started to cry when him and Rose couldn't get past the stairs and almost drowned because I thought he was going to die then. I cried at many other parts, but I sobbed my eyes out for about 30 minutes at the end of the movie.
